On the 24th of May the group opened 2 new branches of Recheio Cash & Carry, LDA in Nampula i.e Supermarket and a Personal care division.
The inauguration was done by the Chairman Mr. Rizwan Adatia with the presence of representatives from the local financial institutions.
With this opening, the group has reached to 28 branches in the supermarket, cash & carry division in Mozambique.
Jumbo City Cash & Carry achieved another milestone after opening another branch in Benfica on 18th July 2016. This is 11th branch in Mozambique which is offering both retail and whole-sales space to customers. Its unique approach to reach B2B in Mozambique is helping the local retail shop keepers by providing a wider range of products at their door steps. Next Jumbo Super Market is coming very soon in Q3.
A New Year means, another step taken to reach a wider population.
Recheio Cash & Carry opened a new outlet in Machava, Maputo on April 4th 2016. With its range of 8500 different products, Recheio is the biggest Cash & Carry in the District of Machava. The new outlet has made it more convenient for those living in the surrounding areas and inviting a wider range of customers.
Jumbo City Cash & Carry also began operating in Manica from April 25th 2016. Providing their customers with the advantage of offering bulk quantities at reasonable prices and in convenient sizes, the district of Chimoio will now benefit in purchasing for daily needs as well as their own trading businesses.
COGEF Group continues to add more sales outlets and expanding outreach all over in African continent. Currently we are working in 9 African countries with Mozambique, DR Congo and Madagascar being tier 1 countries and Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and Uganda as tier 2 countries. South Africa and Kenya are main hubs for purchase and providing backup support to tier 1 and 2 countries.
COGEF Group also saw a growth in number of SKU and more frequently purchased items are added along with diversification of business in different lines be it food and sundries or a few office needs, everything for your sweet home.
COGEF is now classified as a mass merchant having a wide range of home products. 2015 was a tremendous year and very optimistic about 2016-18 plans with new innovative initiatives, which will be unfolded very soon.
Mr. Rizwan Adatia – Chairman COGEF Group was awarded with diplomas by Rotary Club in the presence of Minister for Justice, appreciating the tangible and significant services to promote mutual understanding and friendly relations. In past COGEF Group have donated various goods including clothes, shoes, wheelchairs, canes for the blind, sewing machines to most disadvantaged communities and supported for the extension of the schools.
